Met someone online who seems too good to be true? Before you send money or share personal details, we look for signs that a profile uses stolen or AI-generated photos or a false identity. We screen photos with AI-face detection tools (which can be wrong) and reverse image searches to find stolen photos, and compare their story with public records. You get a plain-language result (consistent with a real person, signs of a fake or stolen identity, or inconclusive) and safety tips. If money has already been sent, we organize your records so you can report to IC3, the FTC and your bank. We do not recover lost money and never charge 'recovery' fees. - We use AI-assisted tools to speed up searching, matching and screening. Automated tools can be wrong in both directions. Every finding in our reports is reviewed by a licensed investigator and reported with its basis and a confidence level.
- Our document, media and voice screenings are investigative screenings, not certified forensic examinations or expert opinions. When expert testimony is needed, we refer clients to qualified forensic examiners.
- Investigative results depend on what information is lawfully available. We do not guarantee any particular finding or outcome.
- We are not a consumer reporting agency. Our reports may not be used to make decisions about employment (including hiring, discipline or retention), housing, credit, insurance underwriting, or any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- We use only public sources and lawfully available records. We do not pretext, create fake profiles, send friend or follow requests, access private accounts, or contact the people we research.
- We accept work only for a lawful, documented purpose and may decline any request, including requests to locate or monitor a person who does not wish to be contacted.
- We are a private business. We are not affiliated with the FBI, IC3, the FTC, any police department or any government agency.
- We do not recover lost funds and do not charge recovery fees. If you have lost money to a scam, contact your bank immediately and report it at ic3.gov and ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Be cautious of anyone who offers to recover lost funds for a fee.
